What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a form of health care which is focused on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of problems of the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic aims to reduce pain and improve function and stimulate the body's natural ability to heal itself.
A chiropractor is specialised in improving the function of the nervous system by especially improving the function of the spine, but also other joint- and muscular problems can be treated to enhance the nervous system. This is done by finding a blockage or misalignment of a joint in the spine or somewhere else in the body, and correcting it to stimulate the nervous system.
It's a safe, evidence-based, drug-free and non-invasive treatment method for neuro-musculoskeletal problems.
Chiropractic is a holistic and preventative profession. This means that the body is looked at as a whole to find the origin of the complaint. This way the cause of the problem can be treated to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
A chiropractor uses several techniques including manipulation of the joints, massage and stretching, kinesiotaping etc. Often exercises will also be prescribed to enhance the treatment plan.

In simple words: a chiropractor identifies the cause of your complaint and treats this by moving what isn't moving. This will help you to move better, feel better and stimulate your body to heal naturally.
